Successful wastewater treatment after an product leakage

During cleaning work, a case of damage occurred in a sewer system and the adjacent rainwater retention basin due to contamination with hydrocarbons. Measures were immediately initiated to clean the sewer system and to suck off the surface water at the discharge point to the rainwater retention basin. Our wastewater treatment technology was successfully used for this purpose. The previous analysis had shown that the extracted wastewater can be cleaned with our technology in such a way that it becomes dischargeable again and thus high disposal costs for the enormous quantities of wastewater can be saved.

We used 20 m³ wet activated carbon filters for wastewater treatment, our proven BROCKHAUS-CPI Oilseparator as well as pumps and hose material. In order to avoid waiting times for the suction vehicles, we set up an additional storage tank. With two suction vehicles, large quantities of water were continuously extracted and treated from the rainwater retention basin in a short time, so that further contamination of the rainwater retention basin could be prevented.

The plant was built on schedule and the wastewater treatment was completed to the complete satisfaction of the customer. The cleaning success was checked and documented by camera inspection and video recording.

At BROCKHAUS, we are speciqalists in cleaning exhaust air and wastewater with various technologies such as activated carbon systems that comply with ATEX requirements.

Our BROCKHAUS-CPI – Oilseparator Without Emissions …

… was developed for the separation of oil.

… meets high safety requirements.

… ensures a cleaning performance of up to 99% with coalescence units. In combination with our mobile SWS activated carbon filters, dissolved hydrocarbons can also be eliminated. All fill levels are reliably recorded and can also be forwarded in real time, e.g. to your process control system.

… ensures that no emissions are generated on site due to the gas-tight design and the filtering of the breathing air via an air activated carbon filter.

… has constant metrological monitoring with data storage, remote data transmission and remote control of the system.

… can be expanded modularly with BROCKHAUS-SWS activated carbon filters for maximum cleaning performance.
