Grades
BMS - BROCKHAUS Magnetic steels

BMS was developed in cooperation with Dr. Brockhaus Messtechnik GmbH & Co. KG. As the world market leader in measuring instruments for soft magnetic materials, our sister company contributed valuable expertise to the material development process.
Technical features
The result is our BMS steel strip grade featuring specific electromagnetic properties. Wherever special requirements apply to magnetizability and coercive field strength (e.g. signalling systems, electrical relays, pressure control valves, solenoid valves, and electrical circuits), our BMS grade provides a cost-efficient solution. Depending on the component, this can offer significant advantages — for example, eliminating the need for heat treatment. The grades correspond in all essential aspects to DC04+LC in accordance with DIN EN 10139 and DIN EN 10140.
