During cleaning operations, contamination with hydrocarbons caused damage to a sewer system and the connected rainwater retention basin.
Immediate measures had to be taken to prevent the contamination from spreading and further polluting the retention basin.
Preliminary analysis showed that the extracted wastewater could be treated using BROCKHAUS technology so that it could be safely discharged again.
This made it possible to avoid high disposal costs for the large volumes of wastewater.
